TRAM TO KAIWARRA. TO THE EDITOR.
Sir, —May I ask, through your columns, if there is any reason why trams.should not run to Kaiwarra? There are great numbere of city residents who are employed daily in the suburb ' referred to who should be considered by the Wellington_ City Council, which no doubt could, if it desired, obtain the right from the Government to extend the tram service to Kaiwarra. This, I consider, would become one of the best-paying sections, especially when you take into consideration that truins to Ngaio and Khandallah> do not run to suit the people. Therefore the people prefer to walk via Kaiwarra. Hoping the Wellington City Tramway Committee will go into this important, matter, —l remain, etc., W. H. BOWDEN. Kaiwarra, 22nd April.
