SIR STARR JAMESON
AN APPRECIATION. GENERAL BOWA'S TRIBUTE. "ABOVE PARTY."
By Telegraph.— Press Association.— Copyright, (Received April 12. 10.30 a.m.) CAPETOWN, 11th April. Speaking in the Union House of Assembly, General Botha, the Prime Minister, paid a generous tribute to Sir Starr Jameson, who has resigned the Leadership of the Opposition prior to paying a visit to England. Sir Starr Jameson, he said, had taken a large view of matters, which had made co-operation between the parties possible. His moderation and willingness to co-operate for the welfare of South Africa had placed him above party.
