THE TRAWLER ENERGY.
ANXIETY AS TO HER WHEREABOUTS. The small wooden steam trawler Energy (Captain Brown in charge) left- port at 3 a.m. on Wednesday last with the idea of trawling in the vicinity^ of Kapili Islund. Shj was due to make Wellington again on Friday la-«t, but at tho time of writing she hus not yet returned. Heavy., south-easterly and northerly galos have prevailed during the past few days. The Opawa set uut_ on Saturday afternoon at 2.30, having on board Captain I. Eckford, owner of iho Energy. She ran up tho coast, and cruised round Kapiti, and returned yesterday, having Been nothing of the missing boat. The Stormbird sighted the Energy in the vicinity of Kapiti early on Thursday morning. The Energy has coal_ sufficient to last three weeks. Sho carries a crew ot five all told. It was suggested in shipping circlen today that it was probable the trawler was sheltering in Cloudy . Bay.
