MINING NEWS.
O DOMINION CONSOLIDATED DEVELOPING CO., LTD. Mr. Rhodes, managing director of Ihe New Zealand Minos Trust, Ltd., which manages the Waihi mine, returned to-day from a_ visit of inspection of the Dominion Consolidated Developing Co., Ltd., mine at Blenheim. The Mines Trust has boon appointed consulting engineers to the Dominion Company, and after inspecting the mine Mr. Rhodes has advised tho company to proceed with the erection of a twenty-head stamp battery. Mr. Rhodes reports that there are about 7000 tons of ore containing soheolito for treatment, and further development of the reef is in active progress. The company has alroady sold a quantity of scheelite, whioh has been prooured by what is known aB hand pioking; but the mineral whioh is distributed throughout the main body of tho ora has to wait the construction of machinery for its separation.
