OPEN PORTS. LYTTELTON, WELLINGTON, AUCK-

LAND, TIMARU. The conditions and pay for work in the open ports appended aro as follow: HOURS OF LABOUR. 1. For ail classes of labour the ordinary hoot* shall be from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., exclusive of meal hour (from 1% noon to 1 p.m.). All other time shall be classed as overtime. No work shall' be performed between ihe hours of 10, pjn. and 7 a.m. on ' five days in the week, *nd after 12 noon on Saturday. A.P.* (b) FOR COAL WORK— NEW ZEALAND COAL. A.P.* Shovellers, buß-rope men, winch men, tramway men, tippers,, stagemen, plankmen, ana hnlkmett, 3d increase ordinary time, 6d increase- overtime. Carriers, 2s 3d ordinary time, 3s 3d . overtime. ( (c) FOR COAL WORK-FOREIGN COAL. A.P.* Shovellers, ' bullropemen. winch'Sien, tramway men, tippers, plankmen. and ifcag«men, 2d increase over native coal rates. A.P. (d) For trimming New Zealand coal, 3d increase over present rites ordinary, and 6d overtime. A.P. For trimming foreign coal, 2d increase over native coal rates. A. P. («) For ¦ overhauling work on ships, such as ' scrubbing, chipping, cleaning, and painting, outside work, whether at the' wharves or patent slip, Sd increase- on ordinary present rates, 6d overtime.
