Richard Boliea M'Millan , who wrt» found in a state of helpless drunkenness at Jobnsonvillfl, was convicted and ordered to nay medical and other expenses (£1 7s 6d) A young man named Wm. M'Enernej was charged with having committed an assault of an. aggravated nature upon Rose Fraser. Evidence was given that accused, during a quarrel, hit the woman •with a bottle. His 'Worship characterised the assault as a very cowardly one, and sentenced accused to one month's imprisonment. At Mount Cook Police Court this morning, Mr. J. Smith.'
