BIBLE TERCENTENARY.
WELLINGTON'S COMMEMORATION TO-NIGHT. v The commemoration of the publication of the Authorised Version of the Bible has already been celebrated with enthusiasm throughout Great Britain and Australia. In Wellington a public function in celebration of this . event in our national history is being" held this evening in St. John's Church, under the auspices of the majority of the Wellington churches. Representatives of the varied interests of the city have signified their intention to be present. Brief addresses on appropriate subjects will be delivered by the Hon. G. Fowlds, Hon. C. M. Luke, and Revs. J. J. North aud J. R. Glasson. The musical portion of the service has been specially prepared, and will include the singing of the "To Deum" by the choir, under the leadership of Mr. Maughan Barnett. It is anticipated that the audience will more than tax the accommodation' of the church, and have been made for an overflow meeting in the schoolroom. Souvenir copies o? the order of service, including the hymns, will be used.
