LONDON, 19th April. Dr. Macnamara, Parliamentary Secretary to the Admiralty, speaking in the House of Commons, stated thab the warship Shearwater landed men at San Quentin on Isth April at the request of the British and American subjects to protect their lives and property in the absence of the Mexican officials. TEe men Te-embarked twenty-four hours afterwards.
