CHRISTIAN SCIENTISTS.

"RESURRECTION" OF MRS. EDDY. (From Our Own Correspondent.) LONDON, 6th January. Tho Christian scientists of America* are nnticipating the resurrection in the semblance of the human form of Mrs. Eddy, ttnd the declaration of Mrs. Augusta Stetson on the subject is accepted as tho oflicial statement. Mts. Stetson occupies a unique position among Christian Scientists. She is a, woman of considerable learning and much_ administrative ability, thoroughly conscientious, and for a time ranked almost with Mrs. Eddy herself as the inspired leader. She was tho presiding otticial of the First Church and the Christian Scientists in New York, and men jealousies intervening, she was excommunicated. Mrs. Stotson declares that the triumph over death is of the essence of Christian Science. She says: "I am watching and waiting for the demonstration by Mts. Eddy of herself in the semblance ot a human fo?m. It must be today; it may be next week, it may not be until twenty years from now; but oven for twenty years I will wait, confldimi, in the ultimate proof by her of her triumph over death. I know il will come. I know it must come. Nobody but Mrs. Eddy, who is now one with the truth, could be the logical person to demonstrate in this hour. I believe that when the undying mind loses tho earwithought, or the body, a/« you wowu say, it prunes slowly from the fleshly concept to the purely spiritual. I believe that Mrs. Eddy will demonstrate herFelf before she has made this transition. Then she will still have the appreciable aspect of Hits material, so that she can be saen by th* eyct of men. Those who have sufficiently elevated themselves so as nearly to approach the spiritual, leaving the material concepts behind "them will be -the first to see Mrs. Eddy, but the wholo world shall be a witness to her demonstration in the end." When Mr.*. Stetson was asked if she objected to the stationing of four-armed guards about the receiving vault in Mount Auburn Cemetery, fioston where Mrs. Eddy's body lies, she answered, Oh, not in the least. Do thoy not help to call tho attention of the world to thrs spot, so tremendously important in this hour? These guards may themselves be witnesses to Mrs. Eddy's demonstration." Asked if these view.* were shared by others, Mrs. Stetson replied : "Ihere ate many, many Chrfetian Scientists, now cli\feod add confounded, who will welcome this belief as the true light. My message will bifr of tremendous import to ! them." j
