PETONE WEST SCHOOL
,, Mess ™- . CastiG (chairman), Evans, Maynard, Maisden. Parrant, Cotton, bnow, and Davis attended the monthly meeting of the Petone West School, held last evening. Communication was received from the Petono Technical School Board offering to award six scholarships for the school, viz.. three for drawing and three for woodwork A letter oi thaukt, is to be 101 warded to the Technical School Board. On the Education Board writing to express 1 egret, thr.t it could not accede to the committee's request to alter the school as> required for the establishment 01 a school museum, Messrs. Castle, Burl'Klge, Davis, and Evans wore appointed a deputation k> wait on the Minister of Education and lo lav the pooilion before him. The headmaster reported that at tho conclusion of last, year there was a rollnumber of 403 pupils. Tho average attendance for the past fortnight was 380.
