TELEG£AI-H — SPECIAL TO THE POST.] PALMERSTON N., This Day. Ernest A. Hamilton, twenty-one years of age, appeared before the Magistrate yesterday to answer to a charge of an attempted serious offence on a fourteen-year-old girl at Foxton last Thursday. Accused pleaded guilty, and was committed to the Supreme Court, which sits at Palmcrston next week, for sentence. Hamilton had for the past few weeks been employed as cook-sculiion on the coastal steamer Haupiri.
