THE LINE OF LIFE.
The registration of births, deaths, and marriages in the Wellington Registrar's district for the month ot January make satisfactory reading from a statistical point of view. The following aro tho numbers compared with January of last year:— Births. 'Deaths. Marriages. 1910 ... 220 79 68 ' 1911 ... 180 62 90 The birth average, taking a serios of years, is very satisfactory, that for January, 1910, being exceptionally high. Of the marriages, 21 were solemnised bofore the Registrar this month as against 15 for January, 1910.
