Messrs. J. H. Bethune and Co. (in coHJ unction with Messrs. Hareourt and Co.) announce that they wili sell at Messrs. Harconrt and Co.'s sale rooms, Pasiama-'street, on Wednesday, Ist March, at 2.30 p.m., the freehold property belonging to the Australian Widows' Fund Life Assurance Society, Ltd., situated at Nos. 113 and 115, Gnstomhouse-quay, Wellington, opposite the Bank of New Zealand. The land has a frontage of 30ft by a. depth, of 108 ft 6in, and is subject to light- and air areas at the back and on one side. The buildings contains three floors, with basement, three strong-rooms, and eight Milner Safes, and is subdivided into suites of offices. It was designed by Messrs. Turnbull and Son, architects. Macdonald, Ltd., advertise, through the Registrar of the Supreme Conrt, on the 14th February next, a sale_ by auction .of a block of land containing eight acres, part of section 32, Karori, having a frontage of some eight chains to the Karori-road, and having a five-roomed dwelling erected thereon. The estimated value, etc., can- be seen at the office of the Registrar of the Supreme Court. Messrs A. L. Wilson and C 0.., insert particulars of a sale of household furnishings, including a magnificent upright grand piano by Schwechten, they are offering at their weekly sale on Wednesday at their rooms. The whole of the furnishings are being disposed of- on account of a gentleman leaving for Home, and comprise the contents of eight rooms. On Thursday, 2nd February, at 1.30 p.m., the firm will dispose of the contents of a house situate 170 Taranaki-street. On Friday they will conduct a sale of household furniture and effects at No. 5, Home-street, including an upright grand piano by Kirchner. Messrs W. H. Turnbull and Co. advertise particulars of a sale of .sections at Day's Bay, which will be held on the ground on 15th and 18th February. Plans, showing the position of each section, with the upset prices marked thereon, may be obtained from the auctioneers, Panama-street, who will have assistants on the ground to assist buyers in their selection. Messrs Hareourt and Co. will sell by public auction, at their rooms, 196 Lambton-quay, on Tuesday nest, under instructions from Mr. James Nairn, his property situated in the vicinity of Khandailah, and containing nearly 30 acres. The firm will offer the same day, at the Exchange billiard rooms, Lambton-qoay, at 2 p.m., the contents of th« rooms on account of th« expiry of the present tenant's lease. The stock consists of five tables and all the accessories of a saloon. The room will be open for inspection on Monday morning and all day on Tuesday. Mr. Harry A.
