NEW HEBRIDES. INCREASED SALE OF LIQUOR HOW TO COPE WITH THE EVIL.
By Telegraph.— Press Association.— Copyright. (Received January 24, 10.50 a.m.) SYDNEY, This Day. Judge French, a member of the New Hebrides Condominium Court, denies I that the increased sale of liquor in the I islands is due to laxity or. favouritism on his part. The sale of alcohol and weapons to the natives will, says His Honour, cease only when the Joint Court has the means of visiting all the islands with ! facility. He hoped the French and British Governments would come to an arrangement to supply the court with a special Vessel to make frequent circuits.
