THEATRE ROYAL. There is plenty to suit all tastes in the current programme at present boing shown al Fuller's Theatre Royal. Beryl Gilman, in her singing of "Flora, de Ding de Girl," was again cordially received, and had to make a' second appearance. Insistent calls for encores also greeted several other favourites. The balancing "and other feats of West, the equilibrist, provided an attractive item. Other members of tho company who ably contributed to the entertainment were Beattio M'Donald, Nellie Searle, Cocile Stephano. T. Vivian, and Horace Dentice. For Friday night the management announces a trial of amateurs. HIS MAJESTY'S THEATRE. Another large audience assembled at His Majesty's Theatre last night. For the change- of programme this evening some fine pictures are promised. "The Vestal," a tale of ancient Rome," should be well worth going to see. Perhaps the chief attraction will be the films illustrating the timber industry in British Columbia. "Tht Heart, u't a Sioux" is a powerful story of the Wild West, and should prove a strong draw. Among other hno pictures are included "Tho Cowboy's Stratagem,' 1 "Wilful Peggy," and many others. THE KING'S THEATRE. A crowded house, including the Boy Scouts, attended West's and Royal Pictures last evening, when the art union m aid of the Campbell Benefit Fund was drawn. To-night the weekly change will be made, when a, picture of special interest to yachtsmen will be shown, entitled "Yachting in Sydney Harbour," also the* "Patho Gazette," which includes the week's budget of interesting "News from Everywhere." Ihe "Indian Dramatic Stories." "A Cowboy's Stratagem," and "The Heart °\ f. Sioux" will also be shown. The Melbourne Cup, 1910, will again bo shown, supplemented by a special edition, which arrived to-day. CRICKET CLUB'S SMOKE CONCERT. There was a very large attendance of cricketers and cricket enthusiasts at the Hotel Windsor last evening, when the Central District Cricket Club, which carried off both tha senior and junior championships last season, celebrated the achievement by holding a successful smoke concert. Mr. \V. Burbidgo, vice president, occupied the chair, in the unavoidable absence of the president of the club, Mr. Fisher, M.P. loasts honoured during the- evening were The Wellington Crickat Associa n?*i » 3 nlral Club >" "Kindred Cl « bs > mi The Visitors," "The Ladies," and The Press." A capital musical programme was contributed to by the following gentlemen :— Messrs. Archer, W. H. Sisson, P. Fitzgerald, Robert Mason, D. Toohill, Benge, R. Tinney, J. Morrison, 0. Bay, L. Brooks, Buckingham, Wood, and Manderson. * STAR PICTURES. Newtown residents wevs again well represented at St. Thomas's Hall last evening, when a repetition of this weeks programme was given. There will be no performance to-night, as Iho hall is engaged for another purpose. A COMPLIMENTARY ENTERTAINMENT. What promises to be 'a good evening's amusement [& to be provided in Iho Town Hall Concert Chambor this evening t in tho shape of a complimentary ontertainment that is being extended to Mr. W. H. Woodger (champion amateur sprinter of Australasia) by his Wellington supporters. The 'programme .comprises some good local talent, and no effort is being spared by the committee who have the matter in hand t to make the concert a success. Mr. A. G. Anderson is acting as general manager, and Mr. Doric Leslie, honorary ■secretary.
