LODGE MEETINGS.
The Hope of Petone Lodge of Good Templars met for their weekly session in the Ranfurly Hall, Petone, last evening. Bro N. Denby, C.T., presided. Three new members were initiated and several proposed. Members from various lodges of the Wellington district officially visited the lodge and after being received occupied the respective chairs. An enjoyable programme was given bymembers of the united lodges. The attendance numbered about 150. The fortnightly meeting of the Loyal Combination Lodge of Oddfellows was held at JohnsonvQle last evening. Bro. A. Grierson, P.G., being in the chair. On the lodge being opened, reference was made by the Grand Master to the death of King Edward VII., and a resolution was carried, expressing the sorrow felt by every one present, at the great loss the nation has sustained, and sympathy for those who are left to mourn. The lodge then adjourned, business discussions heinji .postponed until tho next meeting,,
