[BY TELEGRAPH — I'IIESS A.sSOCIATION.] OTAKI, This Day. A fne about eleven last night destroyed a small <ottage owned by T. O'Rourke and oiittpied by R. (Jile*, manager for Mi. Loa^bv. bootmaker. The building w.is injured" in the .State office for £40. Giles's furniture was iii«ured for £150. Everything was lo«t, including £19 in cash. The oiigin of the fire is a mystery. GISBORNE, This Day. Fires lant night destroyed a Chinese laundry owned by W. Sandlant, and insured for £250 in the State office, and £50 in th<» Standard ; al>o a dwelling ot Maknraka owned l>v Porker and occupied by Leiov. The latter building was insured for £195 in tho National.
