WAIHI MINE. [BY TELEGRAPH — SPECIAL TO THE POST.] WAIHI, 4th April. The damage done to tho Waihi Gold Mining Company's water-raco by the lecent heavy floods ha.« been repaired, and crushing operations have- been leMimed at the company 1 !, batteries, including the main mijl at Waikino. As the through service on the Government railway line has been restored for passenger traffic, it is expected that coal supplies for the mines will come through in a day or two, and as tho reserve supplies of fuel on hand should puffic© in the meantime, there should be no further stoppage at tho various batteries. NEW BIG RIVER RETURN. The secretary of the Wellington Stock Exchange has received the following telegram frpm the New Big River Mining Company : — "The March return from battery is 3500z from 364 tons, also 540z from cyanide. The estimated total value of the bullion is £1535."
