A PROTEST.

TO THE EDITOR. Sir, — I think it is a wrong stato of things that the Public Trust should be permitted to advertise what each individual leaves behind. I think it is a wrong and cruel thing that people's family affairs should be blazoned in the newspapers, and after the Government has had a dabble in it too. It is quite unnecessary, and makes one want to turn his back on a country where everyone finds out one's private affaiis. I, for one, intend to divide that which I possess before my death, and deprive the future Dreadnought of my mite ; also the prying public of what ought to be my own private affair. — I am, etc., HARD EARNED. Wellington, 4th April.
