PARIS CARNIVAL QUEEN.

The election of tho Carnival "Queen of Queens" took place on the 6th February, under tho presidency of M. Caron, chairman of the Municipal Council, wrote a Paris correspondent on 6th February. Of ten candidates, all pretty workgirls, Mile. Therese Chocbue, a dressmaker, waa elected with a majority of three. A collection was made for the flood victims by last year's "Queen of Queens," who was conducted round the hall by Mr. Charles Fish, coxswain of tho Ramsgatet lifeboat, wearing the gold medal presented to him earlier in the day at the Sorbonne. The carnival will bo veiy unostentatious owing to the sufferings due* to tho floods. No confetti throwing will bo allowed.
