HOLIDAYS FOR WIVES.

Addressing a men's meeting at Excelsior Hall, Bethnal Green, on 6th February, the Bishop of London said that the best test whether a husband loved his wife was his conduct towards her ten years after marriage. Men did not always realise what delicate creatures women were, and often did not show them the consideration which they ought to. Every husband and wife, the bishop added, would be better if they had a fortnight 1 * holiday away from each other every year. The wife should be free for at least a fortnight from the cares of the home and' the children, and she would return at the end of that period to the joy* of her home with increased strength. No home was quite complete without chi!'lr?n, and he (the bishop) filled his wth other people's children, having none of his own.
