Norfolk Island Teports a heavy gale on Monday and yesterday morning. It did considerable damage, and a portion of the whaling sheds was washed away. Three boats are missing. The mission /shed was damaged, and i great damage was done to verandahs and roofs. Fencing and pine trees were uprooted! all over the islands. MR. ROOSEVELT IN EGYPT. NATIONALIST STUDENTS' PROTEST. By Telegraph. — Press Association.— Copyright. ( CAIRO, 30th March. I Nationalist students, at a meeting in Cairo, protested against Mr. Roosevelt's. speech at the University. Mr. Roosevelt, in his address, expressed the abhorrence by the civilised world of the murder of Boutros Pasha, Egyptian Premier. He emphasised the need 1 for a right conception of the functions of education. Paper constitutions were, he said, futile, unless the people couhl rely on self-government.
