BIBLE CLASS GIRLS.

THE EASTER CONVENTION. The Presbyterian Girls' Bible Class convention opened at St. John's C'hunh yesterday, when delegates from all parts of the Dominion were present, representing 128 classes, comprising more than 3000 girls. It was shown in the report that £742 had been collected by the girls for various special works, ot which £128 w;as devoted to the Turakina Maori Girls' College, £133 to foi^igu missions, and £154 to children's homes. Mi. Uoal presided, and delivered an helpful address to the convention on the power of girls for the acl-j vancement of God's work. Dr. Gibb conducted a special service at which there was a large attendance. Addresses were given by Miss Shaw, secretary Wellington T.'W.C.A., on the Dunedin Training Institute, and Miss F. Cooper, on Turakina Maori Girls' School. At the welcome tea to delegates, Rev. J. Kennedy Elliott trsiifieci to the value of the church of the Bible classes in training the young tor God's service. Reports on foreign missions. Maoii missions, aud the Canton village mission were disclosed in the evening. This afternoon has been set aside for a picnic to delegates at Day's Bay. Tomorrow there will be a Bible class rally at M. John's Church, iij the afternoon. Sister Mabel will deliver an address. Dr. Uilib will hold a special Bible- , class service in the evening.
