[BY TELEGRAPH — PRESS ASSOCIATION.] CHRISTCHURCH, 24th March. At the last meeting of the committee of the New Zealand Boxing Council, correspondence was received from the Hawkes Bay Centre, stating that the application of the Napier Association for affiliation would receive consideration at next meeting of the centre ; also that an association hdd been formed at Waipukurau to which application was granted. The secretary reported the steps which he had taken to cany out the decision of the council with respect to Mayze's suspension by the Otago Association. Mayze had informed him that he would communicate direct with the Otago Association on the matter. The secretary had placed the position before the Otago Association, and had stated that the council would expect to hear from the association before taking action. Lengthy correspondence was received from the Westland Centre, Westport Association, Westport Sports Club, and Millcrton Association, dealing with applications for affiliation. As thecoun cil was unable to distinguish the exact position of affairs from the correspondence, it was decided to ask the centre's secretary to submit a statement of the ,TriioJ» <*!•.
