BICCARTON TRAINING NOTES. [BY TELEGRAPH— PRESS ASSOCIATION.] CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. The tracks at Riccarlon this morning were in good condition. Husbandman ■and Taskmaster went two rounds at three-quarter speed. The Cup candidates are anxious to improve their pace. Downfall galloped, six furlongs on the sand, going very freely. Bobrikoff went two steady circuits, finishing fast. Multiple and Amballa covered five furlongs in lmiu 7 l-ssec. All Red, looking well, ran a mile and a-quarter on the tan, doing the last round in 2min B£sec. Lady Lucy and Sir Prize did a fast mile. Master Soult went two steady circuits. Kohinoor and "War Song spurted over two furkmgs. Bollin and Diamond Star went twice round, brushing home over the last half-mile in 51 4-ssec. Dreadless ran half a mile in 52 l-ssec. Useful to light tasks were the portion of the other horses out. POVERTY BAY TURF CLUB. GISBORNE, This Day. For the second day of the Poverty Bay Turf Club races the weather is dull and tho attendance good. Results — County Stakes Handicap. — Gatenby 1, Continuance 2. These were the only starter*. Time, lmin 46^sec. Second Hurdles. — Reservoir 1, Te Rahui 2, Haurangi 3. Also ran — Te Kainui. Won by half a length. Time, 2min 56sec. MASTERTON MEETING. SECOND DAY. MASTERTON, This Day. ThereV is moist weather, bub the course is in good order for the second day of the Masterton races. The attendance is fairly good. Results :—: — Hack Hurdles, pf 65 soys; one mile and a half.— Silken Rein, 10.13, lj Sir Lethe, 11.2, 21;2 1 ; Kelso, 10.5, 3. Won by six lengths. Time, 2roin 48sec. Scurry Hack Handicap, of 50 soys; five furlongs. — Afterthought, 8.5, 1 ; Over Rate, 8.10, 2; Wheturangi, 8.5, 3. Won by two lengths. Time, lmin 3 2-ssec.
