SIR JOSEPH WARD IN CHEISTCHUBCH. [BT TELBGBAFH. — FBKS3 ASSOCIATION.] CHRISTCHURdH, This Day. Sir Joseph Ward arrived in the city last night. He has spent a strenuous day. Deputations assailed him from 10.30 a.m., one asking help for rifle cities, another discussing the best means of suppressing immoral literature, and he was interviewed by members of Parliament and private persons on various subject-s. He visited the Canterbury College, and met the Board of Governors, and drove to New Brighton, where the municipal authorities brought several matters under his notice. Tonight he attends a "social" to Mr. Davey, M.P., and to-morrow presents > the diplomas, etc., in connection Troth Qic Trinity College musical examinations.
