CREMATION.
DEPUTATION TO N.S.W. PREMIER. A NON-COMMITTAL REPLY. By Telegrapn.— Pros* Association.— Copyright. SYDNEY, 7th May. The State Premier was waited upon to-day by a deputation favouring cremation, which pointed out that the cost to the Government of a crematorium would be infinitesimal compared with cemeteries. Mr. Wade, in a non-committal reply, said he did not hold out any hope of the Government erecting a crematorium. One of the strongest objections to cl«mation was that it would interfere with, the chance of crime by poisoning being brought home to the perpetrators, aud that it might prove an incentive to murder.
