Tho final of the Senior Champion, ship was resumed on Saturday before a large crowd of spectators. Spicer 13, Cathie 11). Karori won by an innings and 62 runs. For Karori, Finlayson took twelve wickets for 23 runs. BOYS' LEAGUE. Following are the results of matches on Saturday : — Senior Grade. — Marist Brothers beat St. Andrews by 8 runs ; Diamonds beat Thorndon B; V.M.C.A. beat Thorndon A by 8 runs ; &o that now they will have to play off to decide the championship. Junior Grade. — V.M.C.A. A won by default from St. Peters; V.M.C.A. B beat Marist Brothers by an innings and 45 runs ; Boys' Institute won by default from St. Pauls; Kclburne drew with Diamonds. MISCELLANEOUS. A cricket match was played on Saturday, under ths auspices of the Missions to Seamen, between teams from the steamers Arawa and Indralema, resulting in the former winning.. The winner's principal scorers wero Cole (26), Whittington (23), and for tho losers Wheelband (21) and Moiling (21) wero the best. Tho totals were as follows : — Arawa 84. Indralema 69. Messrs. J. S. Cummings and Hogsden acted as umpires. A match was played at Island Bay between teams representing the Island Bay and Brooklyn Lodges of Druids, and resulted in a win for Island Bay by 57 runs on first innings. The scores were — Brooklyn, 47; Island Bay, 103. For ths winners, C'olley (57, retired) and Murrell 11, were top scorers, and for tho losers, who played scverar substitutes, Wilson 10, and 'Hudson 9, were most successful. ■A match played at Day's Bay between Royal Pictures and Korokoro (PGtone) resulted in a win for ths former by an innings and 57 runs. . Royal Pictures scored 203 (V. Farrell 78 and Hamilton 46). and Korokoro 61 (Glading 19) and 85 (W. Balo 30). For the winners Robson (fourteen wickets) and Harris bowled well, as did R. Bale and W. Bale for the losers. A match was played at Kilbirnio on Saturday afternoon between Messrs. Pulley and M 'Lean's employees, representing King's Wharf v. Dock. King's Wharf won by an innings and 10 runs. A smoke concert, was held during tho evening at Ponsonby Hall. Messrs. C. F. Pulley, Norman M'Lean, and Mr. Wells (on behalf of J. 'M'Lean and Sons) responded to the toast of tho contractors. Songs were contributed by Messrs. Parsons, Morris, Brown and Flett. Recitations by Messrs. Linkar, Wylie, and Cochrane. Mr. W. Houchen presided at the piano. The third match between the Silverstream Cricket Club aad l a team representative of Tonks's Brickworks (Wellington) ended in a second and final win for the city- team over their country opponents. The first match fell to Silverstream, at Silverstream, the second to Tonks's, at Wellington, and again on Saturday it fell to the latter at Silverstream, the scoro to their credit being 91 first innings and 58 for two men (not out) in the second. The losers scored 61 first innings, and 51 second innings, v.'hich thus left them ten wickets and 30 runs to the bad when stumps wero drawn. After tho match both teams adjourned to Menzies' Hall for refreshments and to enjoy a social evening. Mr. Chas.
