[BT TELEGRAPH. — PBESS ASSOCIATION.] WAIROA, This Day. The Hon. G-. Fowldi. opened the Tuhara native school. He spoko highly of the native schools he had se<« and commended the generosity of Mr. Hun-ter-Brown in granting a site and other facilities. It was expected that when the swamp lands were drained Tubara ■would carry a large population. Mrs. G. Mayo, an old settler, while on a visit to Nuhaka, sustained a paralytic stroke on Sunday. Though there are some favourable .symptoms there is rJill j cause for anxiety ~ \ Father Le Petae, for 23 years local priest, was preseuted with an address and a purse of sovereigns prior to leaving on a, visit to his native land, France.
