The Political Labour League sent congratulations to the Labour party -in Queensland on the Tesult of the Parliamentary elections. The result of the Queenslaud el-sctions was greeted with hearty satisfaction by tho delegates at last nigb't's meeting of the Trades and Labour in Wellington. It was decided to cable to Mr. Dave bowman, the tender of the Labour pajty there, the congratulations of the council on tho success of the party at tho poll. STATE OF PARTIES ALTERED. Further returns somswhat alter tho state of parties, which is : — Ministeralists ... 25 Opposition 25 Labour 22 Tne postal vote returned Mr. Philp and a Ministerial supporter for Townsville. • All th_2 Ministers, with exception of two, havo been returned. Our cable messages yesterday told us that two members of the Ministry — Messrs. Stephens and Loahy— had been defeated for South Brisbane and Warrego respectively.
