A meeting between the directors of the Otaki-Manaknu and Levin Co-opera-tive Dairy Companies was held at Utaki yesterday, as the outcome of considerable correspondence and discussion in the pa&t, to consider the advisability of the two companies amalgamating for the purpose- of entering into some scheme for the sals of fresh milk in Wellington. Five Levin directors and six of the Otaki-Manakau directors were present, and Mr. J. Griffith was voted to the chair. Alter considerable discussion, the meeting unanimously resolved that it was advisable to make somo arrangement for tho sale of milk in Wellington, and a committee, comprising Messrs. Broadbelt and T. A. B. Hudson (Levin), and Griffith and Swabey (Otaki), was set up to make enquiries re a proposed milk depot at Wellington, and report to a future meeting of cliieclors.
