FLAT WHEELS.
+ [Bt Telegkatd. — Special to The Post.] CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. Thd Christchurch Tramway Board has bee*n troubled by an unusual number of "flat" wheels of late, and one of the inspectors has been instructed to devote tho .whole of his time to tho supervision of the motormen in this respect. Flat wheels may be caused by the careless use of the break, producing » flnt surface when there should be a curve, and it is probable that the use of trailers increases tho trouble. The ■board's engineer estimates in connection with this matter that a/ car with trailers cost about seven-eighths of a penny to start and stop, and one without trailers about 50 per cent. lesr-.
