The taking of evidence in the trial of Harry Thaw for the murder of Stanford White- in. the Madison. Gardens Theatre has been concluded. • In the course of his address to tho jury, Mr. Jerome, District* Attorney, who Is conducting the prosecution., made a scathing indictment of Thaw's conduct. . There waa plenty of evidence, counsel said, of Thaw's ■ depravity, but none of his insanity. Tho accused had sought to shield his miserable life behind 'his wife's shame. ■Mr. Jerome ,asked whether a business man like- Mr. Charles M. Schwab, expresident and a director of the United States Steel Coiipol'ation, would have sat and played cards v.ith a man who was irrational and insane? Tha pica put forward by Mr. Litleton, counsel for the defence, was that Thaw was insane oefoic and after the tragedy. The Judge sums up to-day.
