BELGIAN CONGO.
» THE PRIVATE CAPITAL INVESTED. By Telegraph, — Press Association. — Copyright. BRUSSELS, 6th December. Belgian delegates report that tho private capital invested in the Congo State- amounts to £6,800,000, and that tho general trade is valued at four and a half millions sterling. The colony's assets are set down at £4,800,000, and 'tho liabilities at £4,500,000. The Belgian authorities, after the annexation, will control the Crown "domaine," and may make fresh assignments of revenue subject to tho erection of hospitals, churches, and schools. Properties of tho "domaine" valued at one million sterling will be placed at the disposal of the colony, which will also havo the option of purchasing tho "clomaina's" forests.
