Roarty, however, could only score a single, leaving Wellington winnora by a point. M'Cluro's team wont down badly to Churohward. He began gcoring from tho start, and finished up 35 to his opponents' 17. M'Korrow, however, lost heavily to Cran — 27 to 18 — and Phippard, after some heavy scoring;, lost by five to Prince.. The bowlors thon formed up in front of the pavilion, whore tho President of the Northern Bowling Association (Mr. 1?. W. fclaybittlo) remarked how much thoy had all enjoyod tho visit of tho Now South Wales team and thoir lady friends. At his request three rousing cheers were given for tho visitors, with ono moio for tho ladies. Mr. CroUch, in reply, eaid there were a. fino lot of bowlom in Wellington, and tho visitors cheerfully acknowledged that thoir team was not equal to thceo they had played against in Wellington. It must be remembered, however, that tho trip was primarily ono of pleasure, and the toam could not bo said to ropfesent the bowling strength of New South Wales. Tho visitors then gave threo cheers for the Wellington bowlers and the ladies, and also a&ng a, cheery bowling chorus. The party left for the South on Saturday evening.
