DISAPPEARANCE OF THE REV. T. JAMES.
♦ ARRIVAL AT VANCOUVER, [MUMS ASBOCIATI6*?.] SYDNEY, 17th June, Tlie officers of the- steamei Maheno, which has arrived from Vancouver, identified photographs of Rev. T. A. James as Lee, who, with Mrs. Lee, travelled as a first-class passenger on" tho last homeward Voyage. ' ' The Bey. T. A. James, it will be «-' membered, left Perth on the: Ist April. After visiting friends in Victoria ho went to Sydney, and from there wrote to his wife on the 16th April. He mentioned Ehafc he had formed a- friendship with a man named Hunter. Later, Mrs. 'James received a letter from Hunter, dated 26th April, purporting .to havo been written at 66a. The writer stated that while he and -Mr. James were sailing in Sydney Harboor Mr. James fell overboard and was drowned. Subsequent enquiries showed tli6 lettet was posted at Suva, with an instruction to the Postmaster 'at Sydney asking him to forward it to Albany. The officers of tho Maheno state that on the arrival of 'Mr. and Mrs. "Lee" at Vancouver they immediately boarded Due East-bound train.
