UPROARIOUS MEETING.
woman Suffragists ejected, attempts to mob mr. asquith. [PBia9 AffSOClitflON.l LONDON, 16th June. An uproar was created afc a Liberal meeting held at Northampton. Women suffragists from the balcony of the meeting hall waved flags, and shouted, "Votes for women." After a violent scuffle they were ejected. Mr. Asquith, Chancellor . of the Exchequer, then stated that he feared the Government would be compelled to drop for the present the second part of the Education Bill, though it was urgently needed in the interests of „ secondary schools. The police prevented the women suffragists from mobbing Mr. Asquith when he was leaving the building.
