COLONIAL MARRIAGES BILL. (."P&S39 ASSOCIATION. 1 LONDON, 16th June. The House of Lords has received the report of the committee 1m tho Colonial Marriages Bill, introduced by Lord Elgin, Secretary of State for the Colonies, and by which it is sought to make marriage with a deceased wife's bister legally contracted in the colonies recognised as legal in England. Lord Hilsbury, ex-Lord Chancellor, intimated that he would no longer oppose the Bill. • . THE EDUCATION PROBLEM. -' LONDON, 16th June. Mr. Balfoar's amendment to the Education Bill, of which he gave notice alst Thursday, protests against the guillotine being applied to the Bill by the Government, on the ground that it would bo unjust to unduly limit so important a discussion.
