Dobbic was instilled as W.M. for the ensuing year by the Grand Superintendent (Bro. J. W. M'Dougall) for Havvkes Bay. There was a large — in fact, the largest — number of visiting brethren from other districts present, showing the popularity in which their W.M. is held. The Drill Hall is now nearing completion, and will be a decided acquisition to the town. When completed it will cost nearly £1000. llio Club Hotel here t has changed hands, Mr. Cotter having sold^ his interest to Mr. Hanna, of Levin. The former has now bought Messrs. frenter and file's livery stable business. The Borcugh Council intends purchasing a street-cleaner.
