TUBERCULOSIS.
PROFESSOR BEHRING'S THEORY. INTERESTING EXPERLMENTS. [PHESS ASSOCIATJON.! (Received December 6, 8.54 a.m.) LONDON, sth December. . Experiments show that Professor Beh"ring's prophylactic is completely efficacious against bovine tuberculosis. Fuller details will be awaited with much, interest. If this information be correct, the long-standing controversy as to the intercommunicableness of human and bovine tuberculosis has been decided, and the negative view of Dr. Koch, which has never found wide acceptance, has been disproved. So far as preventive measures ore concerned, the result of these recent experiments will make little difference, as it has never been considered safe to relax /precautions against possible infection from domestic animals ; but as regards curative treatment important results of practical value may be reasonably anticipated.
