[PBES3 ASSOOIATION.I AUCKLAND, This Day. Mr. Robert Keys, a resident of Henderson, aged about 40, has been found drowned in a creek. ASHBURTON, This Day. For the lawn tennis tournament to be played at Christmas, 130 entries have been received from Invercargill, Dunedin, Oamaru, Timaru, Christchurch, and other South Island clubs. ELTHAM, Ihis Day. The largest Masonic gathering ever held here took place last night, when Bro. E. L. Briant was installed as W.M. of Lodge St. John, No. 95, for the ensuing term. There were about seventy representatives of lodges present, including twenty Masters and Past Masters. Bro. H. J. Williams, G.M., acted as Installing Master. WANGANUI, This Day. The Premier and the Native Minister left by the midday train for Wellington. In connection with the application for renewal of the Wanganui River steampacket licenses, evidence was given that 12,000 persons, exclusive of Maoris or short excursionists, made the AVanganui River trip last year. A splendid house, excellently equipped, has just Hen erected at Pipiriki, and a daily service has been established.
