9 MORE SHOCKS. [BT tEIteGRAPri — PRESS ASSOCIATION.] CHRISTCHUUCH, This Day. Welcome rain fell at Cheviot last ■night> and a more cheerful tone is evident throughout the settlement. Slight tremors were felt last night, and severe shocks on Saturday night and on Sunday morning. ' The coach leaving Cheviot "this morning was again crowded with women and children. The Secretary of the General Post Office has received the following telegrams fronl the Postmaster at Cheviot— 23rd, 8.30 p.m! Two shocks, preceded and followed by tremor. 24th, 9.40 a.m. Shocks during the m6rning at 1.10, 2.5, and 4.50. 25th, 8 a.m. All quiet since 4.50 on Sunday "morning. A thunder storm, accompanied by heavy hail and rain, was experienced at 4.30 p.m. yesterday. •
