♦ [BT TELEGRAPH. — PRESS ASSOCIATION, j AUCKLAND, This Day. A. Chinaman named Ah Chong was found on the beach at daylight festerday. When asked how he got there, he said — " Me come 3 o'clock likee dlown myself." He had jumped down a cliff 40ft ■ high, tut- the tide was out. and he landed on the beach shaken and bruised. A man named Harry Vennell sustained n, fracture of the leg at Kahumingi station yesterday. Another accident has occurred at Mr. 0. E. Daniell's Gladstone sawmill. Two men named Andrews and Vowless were trucking, when the trucks got away whilst coming down an incline. Bo^h were thrown heavily. ■ Andrews sustained '< concussion of the brain and some severe j abrasions. Vowless escaped with severe bruises. . -~
