THE ASHANTI REBELLION. O * PROGRESS OF THE RELIEF EXPEDITION. (Received May 30, 9.10 a.m.) LONDON, 29th May. A column under the comand of Lieut.Colonel James Willcocks, a distinguished officer of the Prince of Wales's Leinster Regiment (Royal Canadians) is marching to the relief of Kumasi, the capital of Ashanti, which is besieged by thirty thousand rebel natives.
