[PRES3 ASSOCIATION.] NELSON, 11th December. The Nelson Methodist Synod concluded its session this morning. The Rev. J. S. Snialley was elected representative at the coming Conference in Auckland. A resolution was parsed strongly supporting Biblereading in schools. AUCKLAND, 11th December. It is stated that the llev. Dr. Hosking, who unsuccessfully contested the Waikato seat, hns been invited to tako charge of the Free Methodist Church here ; also tbnt he has received a call from a church in Christchurch. He has not decided upon anything at present beyond a trip to Melbourne. OHRISTCHURCH, This Day. At a meeting of the College Board of Governors it was decided that Professor Bickerton be offered the appointment of Professor of Chemistry at a salary of £700, and that a Professor of Physics be appointed at a salary of £600.
