[by telegraph.— own correspondents.] Carterton, This Day. Mr. King, stationmaster at Carterton, was presented to-day with au address and a purse of sovereign*. He has been here for 17 years, aud is now being removed to Te Aro. Masterton, This Day. Robert and Barbara Blair, trading as B. Blair & Co., Pabiatua, have filed a declaration of insolvency. During the last three weeks nearly 11,000 sheep have been railed from Masterton. Rain fell in the district last night.
