TIMARU HARBOUR. MR MAXWELL'S PROPOSALS.
[by telegraph — press association.] Timaru, This Day. The report presented to the Harbour Board by Mr. J. P. Maxwell, Consulting Engineer, recommends the construction of a rubble mound extension of the breakwater from thb bend eastward 1500 f t; the first half to be started at once and completed in two or three years, at a cost of £35,000, the other half within ten years ; at some future time an eastern mole, to form a basin for starting another mole for forming an outer harbour.
