» Every part oE the Opera House except the dress circle was filled last night at the fourth performance of " The Sign of the Cross." Unstinted applause was given to the principals, the fine acting of Mr. Julius Knight as the Roman Prefect — handicapped though he was by hoarseness — coming in for special recognition. Proof of the interest attached to this drama is given by the fact that the receipts so far are stated by the management to be £200 more than those in the corresponding period of the first production of "The Sign of the Cross" in this city. The last two nights of " The Sign of the Cross " are announced, a« on Monday evening it will give way to the stirring spectacular drama " Harbour Lights," which made such a hit in the Australian colonies. On Tuesday night the Earl aud Countess of Ranfurly and a party from Government House will be present.
