COAL-HEWING CONDITIONS AT NEWCASTLE.
[PBESS ASSOCIATION.] (Received December 30, 9.10 a.m.) Newcastle, This Day. It is understood that the northern colliery proprietors intend to carry out their intention of raising the price charged to the public for coal, and at the same time the hewing rate allowed to the miners as from the Ist January.
