A WELLINGTON WORK IN SYDNEY.
» SUCCESSFUL PRODUCTION OF , " HINEMOA." [PBESS ASSOCIATION.] Sydney, 23rd July. The Philharmonio Society last night gave a highly successful production of the Maori cautata "Hinemoa," the music of which was composed by Mr. A. F. Hill, and the libretto by Mr. A" H Adams, the well-known Wellington journalist, There was a crowded and enthusiastic audience, aud Mr. Hill had a flattering reception. A private cable message conveys similar information as to the success of the performance, and says the prdss of Sydney is unanimous in praise of the work. The performing forces were to be under the direction of Signor Hazon, conductor of the Philharmonic Society.
